Help Elliot stay on his feet

Elliot is an incredible 17 month old Deaf Great Dane whom I adopted as a baby from Green Dogs Unleashed. He has been my constant companion and soul dog since he came home with me at 10 weeks old. We have gone through all levels of training including Therapy Dog Class and were getting ready to take his exam when he began knuckling on his front foot.

After xrays, exams, and an MRI at Bush Neurology in Richmond, my sweet gentle boy who loves the world beyond measure, was diagnosed with Wobblers.

Wobblers is a neurological disease that affects balance, walking, and quality of life and without intervention will only get worse. Thankfully there is a surgery to stop the progression of this, and there would have been no hesitation in having it done until I found out the insurance plan I have had for Elliot since he was a tiny little potato specifically excludes coverage of wobblers syndrome.

Elliot will need major surgery along with ongoing therapies such as acupuncture, supplements, and physical therapy to help him lead a normal life. I am willing to do absolutely anything needed to ensure he gets this and continues in his amazing purpose of spreading joy in this world. I am sharing his estimate for the surgery along with the current expenses and ask for any small amount that can be spared.
