Elliot and Chars miracle baby.

Back in 2017, my now Brother in Law, Elliot Bailey was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called pineoblastoma at the very young age of 20.
I can imagine and know that a lot of you would of read, seen and heard and most likely followed his long journey to overcoming and beating this horrible disease.
When diagnosed back in 2017, the doctors were very unsure whether Elliot was going to beat it and there was a very high risk that he wasn’t going to survive. But Elliot kept fighting and fighting and after a long year of going through treatment and surgery, he received the news that he was cancer free. He never gave up and kept up the strength to kick Cancer with the support from his family and friends. Whilst I didn’t know Elliot back then, I see him as one of the strongest people I know.
Fast forward to 2022, Elliot is now engaged to my sister Charlotte and they have created a perfect little family of 3 with their son Keenan-Jaie. As people are probably aware, Keenan isn’t biologically Elliot’s son but has been a massive part of his life for the past 4 years with Keenan now being 6 years old. However Elliot is Keenan’s dad, with only recently Keenan taking Elliot’s last name. They are the perfect dad and son and their relationship is something that is loved by many.
Unfortunately last year, Elliot and Charlotte both received the devastating news that Elliot can’t have children naturally. As you can imagine this was absolutely heartbreaking for them both and us as a family and the stress and upset that it has caused them both and us is something I cannot put into words. The only positive thing is that before Elliot started his treatment, they recommended that he froze his sperm which he did and luckily it can be used to help them with IVF treatment. Unfortunately more bad news, they cannot get any help from the NHS and therefore need to go private.
As you can imagine the process is very long and costly. They process has been started with finding a clinic, paperwork and tests. Due to ongoing costs, now is the time where they most need the support.
All they both want is to add to their little family and to make it complete with an added addition to the family.
Elliot and Charlotte are two very independent people and they never thought in a millions years that they would seek support from others. But as you can imagine IVF isn’t cheap and they are struggling to raise the funds themselves in a reasonable amount of time. Our family have been watching both of them save each and every month to build up the total to get able to continue this process, they have managed to save up half of the funds but we know that it isn’t that easy. The cost includes the freezing of the embryos, the medication and the implantation, it is expensive but I know family and friends will support them to make this miracle come true for them all.
I have set up this Go Fund Me page in order to support them in raising the rest of the money they need. Elliot and Charlotte are both completely unaware (until this post) that I have done this but I know a lot of people have followed Elliot during his long hard battle and it would be highly appreciated if people would support Elliot and also Charlotte on their next chapter to create their miracle baby.
I will post the article from Elliot’s journey in 2017 for anyone who would like to read.
Will keep you all updated.
