Our dog Ellie was attacked by two loose dogs as we were walking on leash Friday night, January 9th.   Unfortunately, the owner and dogs ran away after we were able to pull Ellie away from the attack.  We still have no information on who they are.   

We rushed Ellie to the ER because her entire underbelly, groin, right shoulder, and left leg had been ripped open.  Ellie has been in and out of the hospital now over the last 5 days as the wounds are so extensive, fostering infection, and proving difficult to manage.

We are confident that we will get our sweet Ellie back to good health, but the doctors have informed us that the road ahead will be long, with many return trips and additional procedures.  

We deeply appreciate any and all help to make it easier for us to get Ellie back to doing her favorite things:

- sprinting around the backyard and collecting as many sticks as she can
- flinging rope toys into the air as hard as possible
- sleeping upside down on the couch with all four legs in the air
- sitting on my head while I try to watch TV
