My name is Eleanor, and I have been selected to go to the 2023 World Scout Jamboree in South Korea along with 35 other Scouts from the Greater London South East region. we will be traveling to South Korea along with 40,000 other Scouts from 150 countries.
A World Scout Jamboree is a world Scouting event for young people aged between 14 and 18 and is a gathering of Scouts and Guides from all over the world for an exciting programme of global development, peace, cultural understanding, adventure, fun and friendship. It takes place every four years in a different country.
I feel very lucky to have been selected to attend and need to raise £2,900 towards my place. I plan to do this with the help of my Scout unit, Jamboree unit, school and as an individual.
One of my first events will be a 10 mile walk and litter pick from the Thames barrier to Tower Bridge. This will be taking place on May 15th
