Puppies in need of surgery!
Donation protected
Hello, and thanks so much for stopping by our gofundme page! The Buddy Foundation is a 100% volunteer run not-for-profit 501 (c) (3)
animal shelter. Not a single dollar donated to us goes into someone's paycheck, it all goes directly to caring for the animals. We have been rescuing animals in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago since 1995, when we were strictly a network of foster homes. It was in 2008 that the Buddy Foundation finally got our brick-and-mortar location, and we continue to work hard to save and rehome hundreds of dogs and cats a year.
Every once in a while the Buddy Foundation comes across a dog or a cat who has special needs. We help them in whatever way we can, with whatever means we have. Sometimes, that means having to ask for help from outside of our organization, which is what we're asking for today.
Meet Aggie, Ellie, and Guy, 8 month old terrier mix puppies, 2 of which need surgery on their legs. These three puppies were seized by animal control in a case of neglect in Western Illinois. Through no fault of their own, they wound up in a very high kill county shelter, where they were given very little time to live. Fortunately, the Buddy Foundation heard about this adorable litter and arranged to bring them here.
Unfortunately, after a visit to the vet, we found out that Ellie and Guy have a congenital malformation of their knees and ligaments, with their knees drifting to the side of the leg and their ligaments not stretching the correct way. As the puppies age, this condition will become painful for them if it isn't surgically repaired.
So, what we are asking for is any donation you can give to pay for both the surgery and the physical therapy of these two puppies. Any donation, big, small, or in between, will be appreciated and used to improve the lives of these puppies. The $8000 we are trying to fundraise will go to both the surgery and the physical rehabilitation of Ellie and Guy, making sure that they heal completely after the surgery and are able to physically develop normally into happy, healthy adult dogs.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about sweet Aggie, Ellie, and Guy. Anything you can give will be so appreciated and go towards improving their lives.
