Hi, my name is Ellie, and I’m reaching out with something that’s incredibly personal and close to my heart.

When I was just 19 years old, I was diagnosed with borderline ovarian cancer. It was a terrifying and life-altering moment that changed everything for me. Since December 2024, I’ve had to undergo not just one, but two major surgeries to remove both of my ovaries. I was admitted to Royal marsden Hospital in London, and from that point forward, it’s been a physical, emotional, and mental rollercoaster.

Losing my ovaries so young was devastating — not just because of the toll it took on my body, but because it also meant losing my ability to create a child naturally in the future. That loss is something I grieve every day. Like many people, I’ve always deep down dreamed of becoming a parent, and now that dream has become a much more complicated, very long and expensive path.

That’s why I’ve created this fundraiser now so I can be prepared in the future. I’m raising money to help cover the costs of IVF, egg donation, and surrogacy — the only options left for me if I want to start a family of my own one day. These procedures are incredibly expensive and not fully covered by insurance or the NHS. The reality is that without financial help, this dream may stay out of reach.
