I am Elli the kitten. I died on March 8, 2023. My people parents, (Barbara & Alfie) need your help with the cost of my care. My cat mom had me and 2 siblings in our people parents’ backyard. I was the runt of the litter, with gold eyes and a wobble which endeared me to them. I was also the easiest to catch, but little did my people parents know that these were signs that I had a congenital liver defect called a liver shunt. This condition is rare in cats, has a high mortality rate, and is costly trying to fix.

My parents tried to manage my condition with medication but they realized I needed an operation. The operation and hospital were very expensive, but they loved me so much that they spent more than they should trying to save my life.

Blue Pearl Vet Services worked hard and tried so many things to save me, but ultimately to no avail. My brain was damaged by too many seizures which are the worst and mostly fatal symptom of liver shunts.

Please help my parents with these costs. They are two 72-year-olds living on social security and a small pension who have had a soft spot for cats for over 45 years. Besides my 2 outside siblings, I have 5 indoor aunts and uncles that my parents want to take care of as they did me. Please donate so my parents can replenish some of their savings in anticipation of future feline illness.

They have never asked for help with any vet costs for all these years, but they need your help now.
