Let's Finish This Album - Together!

Hello! As many of you know, over the past two years I've been working on writing and producing my first full length album.
After a crisis of confidence in late 2014, I realized that if this album was actually going to get made, I needed to ask for help. I talked to my fellow musicians and got advice, reached out to my friends and family for support and pushed forward with the truest ideas I had.
Here's a small window into that process and where we are now...
THE ALBUM
This project has been a march uphill, but one that has pushed me to be my best. I've had to be the best organizer I've ever been, the best collborator I've ever been and certainly the best singer I've ever been.
Sonically this album is blues, funk, jazz moments, rock moments and a good dose of folk music. We experimented with blending an American Roots foundation and with electronic/synthesized sounds. Much of the songwriting was inspired by the space we travel from the inside to the outside (both the physical body moving in the outside world and the outward expression of ones internal and intimate thoughts).
We recorded the vast majority at the Converse Rubber Tracks Studio in Brooklyn and the other part at Granville Mullings Jr.'s home studio. Part high-tech and part DIY -- best of both worlds.
These songs and the experience of writing/recording them has been simultaneously intimate, emotional, tiring and joyful!
THE TEAM
This endeavour has not been achieved alone. I've been so privileged to work with a group of writers and musicians who are talented, generous and have, in their own right, invested so much into this album.

THE NEED
Over the course of making this project, I've experienced so much growth and discovery and we're on the precipice of being finished. The final stage of this is the mixing, mastering and distrubution of the album.
Total need for this final stage of the project is $3500, I'm putting up $2000 of my own and humbly asking for help with that last $1500. (That's 60 people giving $25 bucks!)
Your contributions will allow this music to be the best it can be and reach the larger world. Every little bit helps! :)
