This sweet girl is my best friend's daughter. This tiny warrior has been through more in her four years of life than most people do in 100. However, here is the most recent war.
Ellery had to be rushed to the ER last Fall and ended up having to receive an emergency colostomy and colon removal surgery to save her life. The doctor literally came in and told her parents that if Ellery didn't have surgery immediately, she would die from a full bowel rupture. She went back in this week for what they thought would be a very straight forward colostomy reversal and take down. Unfortunately, that was not the case. She has had many complications, set backs, and issues that have surfaced. It has turned what SHOULD HAVE BEEN a 3-5 day hospital stay into possibly weeks until they figure out what to do to best help and diagnose her current issues that are causing all the set backs. She’s currently in the PICU at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV where her parents are business owners and have taken off work for an unknown amount of time to stay with her and see her through to her healing and recovery.
Ellery is no stranger to the miraculous and we absolutely know that God will move on her behalf. But please help to offset the medical costs and the cost of her sweet parents being unable to work.
