Ellen's School Support

I'm not good at asking for help. Most people aren't.

However, over the past year, I've developmed so many amazing relationships with people that I've learned one thing: it's ok to be vulnerable.

I am currently in seminary at Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO. It's an amazing place filled with scholars and activists. Among the professors and students there, I have found a place where I am not only nourished but challenged to dig into the world around me to make it a better and more just place. 

Some of my colleaugues have left six-figure salaries to pursue a second-career in ministry or theology. I have not. I left my career as a teacher to work in a homeless shelter.

I am passionate about my role in serving others, but because of the cost of education I cannot continue my degree. I am currently using student loans, scholarships, grant money, and whatever out-of-pocket expenses I can spare to pay for my education. However, this quarter it is not enough. 

I need your help to cover cost of my bill that needs to be paid before I can register for next quarter.
