Ellen’s open heart surgery

Hey everyone. Our friend Ellen Loomis is going to have open heart surgery in November, over Thanksgiving, and I was thinking of something we could do for her, since she does so much for so many others.

If you don't know Ellen very well, let me introduce her. Ellen has been involved in managing or marketing for the Portneuf Valley Farmers Market for the last 10 years, plus she has helped out at the local community theatre, when it was Mystique and transitioned to the Palace Playhouse (it has since turned into the Palace Theatre and the new owners are doing an amazing job) Ellen has also been a travel agent for many people, sending the majority to a Disney destination, as she specialized in that travel. Ellen is now involved in her own new business called LNL Small Business Services. Her main goal with this new adventure is to help other small businesses in as many ways as possible. She is always helping someone out and is quick to jump in where needed.

Without a 'regular' job, Ellen doesn't have sick time, or vacation time that she can use to help her with rent, food and other bills after her surgery, so I propose that we try to raise money to help out with expenses for the holiday season. Please donate what you can. I know most of us would be thrilled to allow her to focus on getting better and not on how to pay the rent.
