Ellen Shevelin Smith Family Foundation

The world lost a talented, funny, intelligent, loving soul, too soon.  Ellen *Ellie* was a loyal mom, wife of 18 years, sister, daughter, best friend, confidant, and gentle survivor. She always had a good book going and was an amazing cook and hair stylist. She was only 43 years old.

I mention survivor because Ellen was a fierce advocate and survivor of breast cancer.

A graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas in Dover, NH and Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island- and then Empire Beauty School. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her, will remember her and smile.

Perhaps you will play Billy Joel's hit Uptown Girl when you read this, in her memory, as it was her favorite song? I know I will. 

She LOVED her family and friends more than anything in the world. She would do anything to protect and care for "her sweet boys," which is why we are stepping in to help in this time of great loss.



We are asking for donations that will be put into a trust for her two young sons, Owen (10) and Ronan (5) and go towards their education , and also assistance for a proper burial and memorial of their mother, who passed unexpectedly at her home Saturday morning.
