Hi All, for those who don’t know me, I’m Ellen, a Wellesley alum, writer, teacher, art historian, & all-around history nerd (very practical skills). I’m also disabled & chronically ill. Unfortunately, my cancer has recurred, while my mobility has declined. I had no idea that Cerebral Palsy can be made worse by certain diseases, medications, & treatments. As a complex patient, medical care has been hard to access in my area, as have the treatments I need. The physicians that offer the best care options for me are out of network with my insurance, which is not surprising given the healthcare system. I’m very much struggling after failed surgeries, medication reactions, and the inability to walk easily. I’m very limited in what I can do daily. If there’s such a thing as medical fatigue, I definitely have it. The exhaustion, stress, and fear are palpable. I understand that things are tough for everyone in the current environment, and I don’t take asking for help lightly; but, I really need it. I’m sinking under the weight of another life-altering diagnosis, and the collateral expenses. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I am happy to provide documentation if needed. Also happy to offer remote tutoring sessions if anyone is interested.
Thank you so very much!
