Elle's Reconstructive Breast Surgery

I ignored low-scale burning pain in my left breast for several months before I confirmed that my left breast implant has "burst", due to a manufacturer's defect. 

I will be unable to lift myself (to dance at my full time main employment method), my child, or anything else for some time, and I'm scared to miss work during this already rough year for folks in my industry.

There is a warranty on my implants which helps with about half of the surgery cost, but does not account for my missed work and the ultrasound, mammogram, and MRI expenses needed to discover the rupture in the first place.

My surgery is April 12th and I expect to be out of work for 2-4 weeks, at the same time that I'm paying the IRS taxes owed as an independent contractor.

My therapist says I need to get better at asking for help, and some folks who have followed my writing/teaching work have offered to donate, so here we are.
