Donation protected
My beautiful sister has been diagnosed with breast cancer, DCIS with micro invasion.
This is awful at any time but obviously made more so in the middle of a global pandemic. She requires life saving surgeries. An op to remove her lymphnodes next week and another, her big op due in January . The big operation is a mastectomy with reconstruction that involves using the lower half of her abdomen to reconstruct her left breast. Pre-covid, this new, ground breaking type of operation was routinely done with the aid of a CT angiogram which allows the surgeons to pin point all the major blood vessels and reduces the risk of tissue loss and damage to muscles significantly. Now due to lack of NHS resources because of covid the NHS can't offer the scan and have told us that they strongly recommend us sourcing £800 to have this done privately prior to her mastectomy. I'm sure you can imagine how hard the whole situation is for Elle and how stressful this time is and now we have to find this money, quickly. Further to this we have been told that she will not be allowed to take a bath for a minimum of 6 weeks following the surgery and showers only but she does not have a shower at home. I'd like to try nd raise some extra money to get one installed.
Anyone who knows my sister knows just how selfless she is is. She would and has helped so many people in their darkest times, me included. To see someone as loving and kind as she is going through this is heartbreaking and I have to try to do something to help, which is why I have set up this page. Even just the smallest donation would help.
