Ella's Fundraiser - Support Ghanaian Children

Eddies Teddies Incorporated is a nonprofit organization with the mission of providing resources to underprivileged populations and to institutions that cater to these populations. We provide children with school supplies and resources (such as school bags, books, pencils, etc). Many of these things we take for granted but for those children in developing countries who walk 3-7 miles daily to school, such simple tools are game changers.

Ella De Young, a senior at Iowa City West High School is helping our cause by raising $10,000 towards the purchase of a school bus for children in Ghana. Kafedel Excellence Academy, located in the suburbs of Cape Coast, Ghana is an early childhood center of excellence, with a homey and caring environment where children will have fun learning through play and activity-based approaches.

Partnering with Eddies Teddies Inc, Kafedel provides access to good education to less-privileged children from low-income families and caters to autistic children by creating a safe space for their developmental needs. A mini-school bus will help transport these children (Preschool to 3rd grade) safely to and from school each day.
