Ella’s Family Needs Us, Her Daddy Fights for Life

Thank you for the thoughts and love going out to the Taylor family. They are going through a tough time right now and can use all the support volunteered.

Ella told me the last thing her and daddy did was play board games together before he had to drive to Bisbee, Az Sunday June 23rd for work that week. Her and her mama, Megan were supposed to meet him out there later in the week to celebrate her birthday.

On his drive that night Austin was in a car accident between Tombstone and Bisbee, his truck flipped about 7-8 times and he was ejected from the vehicle. Hours passed before he arrived at the hospital in Tucson. During the ambulance ride his heart stopped, the accident left him with severe head trauma, many broken bones in his back, pelvis, leg, ribs, a collapsed lung, terrible road rash and damage to other internal organs. He is on a ventilator and they have about five days before the doctors requested they make that hard medical/life decision that we all fear. He is not responsive and does not show positive brain activity.

Although the family is hopeful, this is very difficult and we hate to see them stress any more. Anything you can do to help, even if everyone pitched in $1-$5, it would go to medical expenses, living expenses, Ella’s school supplies etc. Megan wants to try everything she can to keep Ella’s life consistent, where they are living, where she goes to school, her extracurricular activities etc but since Austin was the primary source of income for the family she has a lot do to make that happen. I strongly believe we can make this easier for her and I know the family will be full of appreciation for it.
