Help Ella raise money for her beloved Preschool.

Ella is our amazing and brave 3 year old daughter.

On the 14th October Ella will be undertaking a sponsored walk up Llanymynech rocks, our local nature trail, in Shropshire, to raise some money for border preschool.

Ella is not your typical 3 year old. In 2021 she was diagnosed with a blind ending in her right lung which has meant for the last 2 years she has spent a lot of time in hospital with recurrent chest infections/pneumonia - last winter every 2 weeks she was an inpatient in Telford children’s hospital for at least a week at a time, requiring oxygen, intravenous antibiotics and a lot of chest physiotherapy. Doctors have since advised us that exercise is going to be one of the best preventatives to reduce the amount of hospital stays as it will keep her lungs stronger, hoping to reduce the strain it has on her when she gets an infection.

Therefore in a bid to limit the hospital admissions this winter and to raise some much needed funds for preschool Ella will be undertaking this challenge.

Ella has been a part of Border Preschool for the past year, her older sister, Ava, attended before she started primary school and her younger sister, Amelia, has, very recently started. Border Preschool holds a special place in our hearts, as Sandra Hayward and her team have always been incredibly supportive of both Ella and us as a family. An example of this is when Sarah was in hospital with Ella for a bronchoscopy on the same day as Ava's first nativity. Sandra and her team arranged a dress rehearsal for Sarah the day before, so that she didn't miss watching Ava play the part of Mary.

'Border Preschool is a registered charity and have been providing learning and education in the community for over 30 years. Their setting is fully inclusive and offers support for children with extra needs.' - Ella, and us as a family, have experienced this first hand, therefore we would like to give something back.

Any donations would be greatly received and all of which will go straight to the preschool.
