Ella May Cywisnki was the type of woman who would give you the shirt off her back, even if it was the only one she had.
She was the loving mother of Betsy (Thomas) Voghel, Ken (Kathryn) Cywinski and Laura (David) Ehrhart; dearest Grandmom of Charlotte Voghel, Teagan Voghel, Ryan Cywinski and Alayna Cywinski; sister of John T. (Kathleen) Brennan III and aunt of John T.
Born and raised in South Philly, Ellie (as she is known to the people who loved her) spent most of her days caring for her family and 25 years working in customer service. Devoted wife to Lucian Cywinski for 47 years, she was a woman who gave all of herself to her family and friends.
Towards the end of her life she struggled with many health issues, and a poorly managed health care system, which frequently made her prioritize expensive medications and procedures over things that we all take for granted, like life insurance. Due to a medical procedure gone wrong Ellie spent her last year with a collapsed trachea, having to communicate with her family through written words and the use of a voice box at times. Through all this she did not give up, and continued to love and support her family.
