Elka’s Road to Recovery

Hi My name is Ari. My siblings and I are trying to raise funds for our mother, Elka and her fiancé Jeff Mouw. Many of you know my mother Elka for the sweet and loving woman she is. She is a friend to many and always there for you. She needs our help right now. On Sunday July 10,2022 she woke up gasping for air. She went to the ER where she was transferred before undergoing emergency surgery for her kidney. After surgery she did not respond well to coming off of anesthesia. She is currently sedated and on a ventilator in the ICU. We are waiting for tests to diagnose what could be wrong with her lungs, but scans are not looking good and the doctors have stated at this time tuberculosis and/or cancer are possible concerns. We should know more by the end of this week. Mom has bills that need to be covered as well as medical bills as she has a long recovery ahead. Jeff is currently the provider and has unfortunately had to return to work just a day after moms surgery. Family is asking that you please donate or share so that we can make sure all of moms bills will be taken care of.
