On October 4th, 2020, Zak was attacked by an elk while golfing in Evergreen Colorado. Unfortunately the last time a golfer was gored by an Elk was 15 years ago, which makes this an extremely bizarre event. The Elks antler pierced Zak in the back and traveled through his body, ultimately damaging his kidney with other issues also arising from the puncture. After spending time in the hospital Zak will go home on strict bed rest for several weeks. With this being such a trying time for the Bornhoft family it would be great to lessen the burden of any financial hardship that might take place!
