Eliza's Sunny Summer Spot

Hi, I'm Justine! As you probably know, our friend Eliza Ruth Watson is going through cancer treatment.

Eliza is a vibrant and brave person who is humble despite all of her achievements. If you have ever heard her sing, you know her as a gifted talent and a hard worker.

Eliza has already shared so much of her cancer journey with us. The disease and its treatments have required her to face a lot more down time than she is used to. Summer is coming to Maine, which would ordinarily see Eliza out working in her garden. She may not be able to physically work like that this summer, but that doesn’t mean that being inside on the couch is what’s best for Eliza.

Eliza determined with her counselor that setting up an outdoor living area this summer would be a real boost to her mental health, so she can enjoy the season and the many little gifts of nature in this beautiful season in Maine. But her space needs to be comfortable and safe for her. Eliza is focusing all of her energy on the taxing process of recovery, so she needs our help to make it happen.

I have created a spreadsheet that includes some of the things Eliza asked for. The easiest thing to do is to donate a little money to this GoFundMe, which Eliza can use to purchase the items on the list or other relevant items for her outdoor living space. However, Eliza is open to donations of pre-owned items as well, so if you have an item from the list that is clean, in good repair, and that you are willing to deliver, please do sign up on the sign-up sheet. Another option is to buy a specific item from the spreadsheet and have it shipped to Eliza directly. If you wish to do so, please sign up on the sign-up sheet so that we avoid duplicates. Finally, if you are not able to donate but want to volunteer to set up the space when we have the items, you can sign up near the bottom of the sign-up sheet.
