Eliza's Home Modification

Eliza (Lizey) McGowan went from being a high functioning, healthy, active 9 year old girl, to now an 18 year old who requires extensive 24 hour medical care and has lost all mobility. Eliza was diagnosed with an extremely rare neurodegenerative autoimmune disorder that attacks the brain.

Over the years, Eliza’s health has rapidly deteriorated to the point of needing specialised medical care and equipment. For this reason, Eliza has spent a lot of time over the past 9 years, and more recently, over the last few months in hospital.

As you can imagine, this has been extremely stressful both financially and emotionally for Eliza’s beautiful family.

To enable Eliza to live with her loving family in their current home, with the 24 hour medical care she requires, a costly house extension/modification including a specialised bathroom and bedroom area is required.

We have come together to ask our community as a whole to do all they can to make this happen asap!
