Help Elizabeth Fight Leukemia

Donation protected
On 4/20/15, 14 year old Elizabeth Barry was diagnosed with AML, a type of leukemia.

The video attached to this fund explains what has happened to our Elizabeth. There are a lot of unknowns associated with this kind of event, not just the fear of health and the future.

The Barrys are prideful people, but out of network health costs, gas to and from the hospital, flights, and limited work can be devastating to a family. This is all on top of their concern for Elizabeth and her treatment.

The first portion of her care was in Buffalo, which was out-of-network for their insurance. Elizabeth was also put on a private jet with a medical team to be transported to Charlotte. We really have no idea what kind of financial implications the family will face, but as anyone who has dealt with insurance and medical care costs knows, they will be more than one family can bare.  Especially a family that already survives on teacher salaries.  Elizabeth's care and treatment is all that matters now though, so being proactive in our request for your help is our only action.

Please understand that this will be updated regularly as we truly understand the needs and costs. The need could be $10,000 or $100,000+, there is really no way to know right now.

We all appreciate your support in honor of Elizabeth.

Every bit helps, so if you can... please do.
