Hi my name is Bryanna and I'm starting this GoFundMe for my cousin Elizabeth. Here's a little back story of her life, at only 3 years old she started to lose all her hair due to alopecia. At 5 years old Elizabeth had to have emergency surgery to remove her spleen and 5% of her pancreas due to a softball size benign tumor. In 2007 her father suddenly passed away from a motorcycle accident. In her teens she started getting really bad back pain and at 21 she was diagnosed with scoliosis and degenerate disc disorder. At around 18 years old Elizabeth started her journey in care giving for private home facilities, but due to her scoliosis she did have to go on disability for a year and just started back on the 19th of September. In 2017 her mom was flown down south and found out she has congestive heart failure. With all these struggles that have been thrown into her life she still makes time to help a single mother care for 3 younger kids, watches her niece, keeps her mortgage paid and works with her clients as much as her body will let her. Elizabeth recently went into a dermatologist to have a portion of skin on her neck looked at, they did a biopsy in two different spots. On September 19th she got a call back saying that she has Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans(DFSP). DFSP is a rare slow growing aggressive cancer in the skin, if not treated can spread to other parts of the body. Elizabeth has had this mark on her neck for about 10 years and the doctor says that when it formed it formed as cancer, so she has had cancer for about 10 years now. She has been having other issues like having a hard time breathing, with no spleen she thought she was just having a hard time due to easily getting sick. Elizabeth is getting a referral down to UCSF to do a PET scan. We are asking for any help for travel and medical expenses not covered by her insurance. Throughout this whole process she is going to try and keep working because its her passion but with all the appointments she's sadly not sure how long she can keep it up.
