Elizabeth's Oral Surgery

For those who know Liz, this story is not new. For those who do not, I hope that you will find it inspirational.
At the age of 16, Liz was diagnosed with SME Lupus. Her disease has never been in remission and she deals with the constant pain with humor. Throughout her life, she has had several severe flares and one of which required her to take a few months off from her undergraduate studies. She made up lost coursework throughout her chemo sessions and despite the pain. She graduated with honors and on time.
She later moved on her own to Los Angeles, found love and has been married to a wonderful guy for five years. She earned her Masters of Science in Social Work and her professional certification. She has worked for LA Children's Hospital as well as UCLA Medically Center as a Social Worker. In this role, she has touched many people's lives young and old. She continues to work through the pain and never lets it get her down. She has helped the elderly in need, children with chronic illnesses and runs group therapy sessions for both young and old.
Liz is committed to helping others and has volunteered to assist at Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis and ALS charity events. She has jumped out of airplanes, swam the ocean swimming portion of charity marathons, spoken at Medical conferences and mentors young people. She never lets the pain she is feeling get to her. She embodies community involvement and giving of herself to others without the expectation of anything in return.
While she manages her disease and the pain well, 16 years of medications have damaged both her teeth and her jawbone. She desperately needs surgery to repair the damage these medications have caused. The cost of these operations is expensive and she puts off dealing with her own health issues to deal with her work commitments, her volunteering commitments and paying for rent, food, commuting, etc.
I am asking that those who know Liz or know someone with a serious Lupus related health issue to help me raise enough money to cover the cost of the oral dental surgery she needs.
Thanks in advance to everyone who contributes, shares and even reads this fundraising campaign.
