We lost the patriarch to our family. There are so many emotions. This is so surreal. She recently lost her mom to such a nasty battle against cancer. And now, we lose her. Eli was only 32 years old, she had such a long life ahead of her. We had so many plans. She was workaholic and a shopaholic. She worked 7 days a week, never took anytime for herself. She always went over the top for everyone else. She cared so deeply and with that same token she got mad at us so quick too. But that was her, no matter what, she never left our sides. I want to believe that my Tia needed her more than we did and that is why she left us so soon. I hope you are flying high, dancing in the skies with your mom’s hand held tight. Take care of us from up there. Rest easy Eli. ****************************************** As many of you are aware, Elizabeth Ocampo was in the ICU fighting for her life due to COVID. She was intubated and on a ventilator. The pneumonia did a lot of damage to her lungs but her other organs were in good shape so the doctors wanted to move her to a facility where there was access to additional treatment options, including a lung transplant. We tried many programs offering ECMO, but were unsuccessful. She ended up being tested again and tested negative for the virus, but unfortunately the damage was already done. She fought hard but ultimately didn’t win the battle against this nasty virus. This is a really difficult time for Bernardo, William and Diana. Estába entubada y en un ventilador médico. La neumonía dañó sus pulmones pero sus otros órganos estaban bien. Por tal motivo los doctores la querían trasladar a un hospital donde hubiera acceso a varias opciones de tratamiento e incluyendo un transplante de pulmones. Se trataron muchos programas pero ninguno se nos hizo posible. Le volvieron hacer el examen de COVID y salió negativo. Quiere decir que el virus ya no estaba en ella, pero desafortunadamente el daño ya estaba hecho y no gano esta pelea tan fuerte contra el virus.
