November 4 is forever the date that my family and I will never forget. This is the day that all of our lives changed. I received my first Pfizer vaccine and within 15 mins I was having a severe adverse reaction. I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. Before my vaccine I was healthy and extremely active but I left the hospital (thank God) in a wheel chair. On my good days I can use my walker to go short distances. I need help to do mostly everything. It is crazy just how much life has changed not just to myself but my family. I have been sent to Ochsner’s Hospital in New Orleans for treatment/dr appts. which is a little over 3hrs from us. I have full body weakness, more weakness on my left side, digestive issues, brain damage to my right side of brain, I now have a heart problems, it is hard to control my limbs, tremors/seizures, nerve damage, body temperature issues, sensory issues, vision problems and the list goes on. I’m fighting daily for my family and myself as giving up is not an option at all. Some days are extremely are hard. When I hit myself in the face just trying to eat or spill my drink because I try to drink from a cup without a lid on it is not only frustrating, painful but also embarrassing to. This isn’t just extremely hard on my body but my mind as well. The medical bills are just steadily piling up and we still have a lot of changes to our home so I can get around it in my wheelchair which costs so much. It doesn’t matter how much you plan for life with Covid hitting us all and then this life changing event our savings has been used up. I feel as if we are just piling up so much debt just to help me get well all while I feel bad and like a burden to my family as well. It shouldn’t have to be a choice between health and bills ever. Bills of 30,000, 9,000, 12,000 and the list goes on steadily coming in is absolutely crazy. On top of the bills going back/forth to New Orleans plus having to stay there is crazy expensive to. I just want to be healthy again and I would to walk!! Thank you for all the prayers, blessings, help and donations they truly are blessing to not only me but my family!! I wish I could hug and personally thank each one of you!!
