Elizabeth Terlep
I’m sure you all remember our friend Beth who was involved in a head on collision by a driver who crossed the double yellow line. She’s come very far in her recovery having suffered almost every bone on her right side being broken the open femur fractures, hip, ribs, heart, and spleen. The list just goes on and on, but mainly it was the open arm where she lost most of her humerus and her elbow. She was very lucky to even keep the arm as it was hanging on by so very little. She was sent to California to get a total elbow which would be covered with a back muscle flap but due to an infection it had to be put on hold now she awaits her surgery in California. Due to the COVID-19 virus this is being postponed for a long time. We all know the struggle is real for everybody during this time to pay for things. It’s especially hard for Beth having trouble with her disability and living in such an expensive place, making it very hard to pay the bills and there’s not an option to leave Hawaii because that is where her children are and she would never be away from them.
