Elizabeth Ravenwood was in a high speed car wreck on Tuesday April 23rd. Traffic was created due to a high speed chase that had happened in the area, in which the police were chasing a man who murdered two women and kidnapped his son. Beth was on her regular drive to school, just enjoying her “me time” and didn’t realize she was coming up on this traffic until too late, rear-ending a Semi at 70mph. Her car rolled multiple times and she was stuck upside down until EMS could reach her and use the “Jaws of Life” to rescue her from her vehicle.

Beth’s wreck has resulted in her having flashbacks and anxiety, many bruises and abrasions, multiple fractured ribs, and all of the major bones in her left leg being broken. Her leg is going to take three surgeries and a lot of physical therapy to repair. She already has a rod and screws in her femur, and an external cage on her calf/shin that is holding her tibia/fibula/ankle bones in place until her medical team can repair them surgically. By the time the orthopedic surgeons are done, she will also have plates and screws in her lower leg and ankle. She is thankful to be alive and is working hard every day to become stronger and to heal quickly, but the recovery process from this is difficult and lengthy.

Beth is one of the breadwinners in her family, and on top of her injuries she is now worrying about the financial repercussions of all the time she will be out of work. She will likely be unable to return for at least 2 months, which is a very scary length of time. Any amount you can donate will be incredibly helpful. Your donations will be put towards rent, medical bills, food and utilities for Beth and her family, and extra expenses they may need to take on for her to recover from the wreck. Thank you for reading her story.
A share would be so helpful, even if you can’t donate!!
