In January, our beloved Elizabeth went to the ER for severe back and leg pain. An MRI revealed that she had a herniated disk in her spine. The severity of the pain kept her out of work for weeks. She recently underwent invasive surgery that requires an additional 12 weeks of concentrated recovery . During this time of healing, Elizabeth will have very limited mobility and it is not possible to provide income for herself. She was denied any state benefits such as unemployment insurance & workman’s comp. On top of loss of income, she also faces an ever growing mountain of medical debt that has accrued from this injury.

Most people know Elizabeth as the fashionable, warm, friendly face of b. Resale. Whether she’s interacting with strangers or her close people- she has the undeniable power of making people feel seen. She may not always recall your name, but even if you’re unfamiliar, she’ll never forget your details. Your nails, your tailored pants, your cool tattoo. Her thoughtfulness appears in flowers she gives to friends having a bad day, dropping off unexpected gifts to her favorite bartenders, even remembering the styles (and birthdays and astrological signs) of b. regulars. Elizabeth supports her community vehemently and has fostered friendships through simple acts of love everyday. With her contagious laughter and ability to light up a room, she always finds a way to ignite others. Now, it’s our turn to shine that light on Elizabeth.
