Elizabeth "Liz" Jimenez Memorial Fund

Hi, I am Lourdes Nevarez and I am fundraising for the memorial fund for a dear and beloved friend, Liz Jimenez who passed on January 27th, 2023. She leaves behind the light of her life, her two daughters Delicia and Kaleigh, and her three granddaughters Jailynn, Kobie and Laila. Along with her two brothers, sister and many nieces and nephews. Losing her suddenly has left many who knew her in disbelief.

Liz was vibrant, full of energy and one of the strongest persons that one could ever meet. She loved living her life to the fullest, all was a celebration. She could connect with everyone she came in contact with and it was always genuine and kind with a dose of realness. At the beginning of every weekend during football season, she would be styling the orange and blue from head to toe. She was an ultimate Denver Broncos fan. When the weather got hot she loved the idea of one day riding in the back of a Harley again. Though she hadn't done so in many years, she would reminisce about her times in Sturgis and going on poker runs with her motorcycle-riding friends. She loved to dance and didn't care if she was the only one on the dance floor at the local dive.

Liz had a passion for the community. She served Adams County Colorado families as a Child Protection Worker for over 30 years. Again, connecting with people was her superpower and she demonstrated that to all those families that she helped guide through difficult times in their lives. The service she offered her clients was saturated with honesty and morality. And through this work is how I and many others met Liz. Whether she became a friend or a co-worker one got interwoven into the web of togetherness through her contagious personality and energy. That is how she planted the seed and created Her community.

As we mourn the loss of this wonderful human being, let us all remember her through the good times we had with her. We are lucky to have shared space and time with you, Liz.

May you Rest in Power, my dear friend. You will be missed terribly.

Liz's daughters have had their world turned upside down by the sudden loss of their mother. Liz was a great support to them. This fundraiser will help cover the cost of their mother's memorial and or any expenses they see fit.

Services will be held on Monday, February 6th.
