My name is Jose Hernandez and I am fundraising for my beloved little sister Elizabeth Hernandez. She passed away Friday Oct. 20, 2023 after battling melanoma cancer for 6 years. Her health deteriorated unexpectedly from one day to the next. This was all a shock and unexpected for our family. She was a warrior who fought till the end. Who put everyone’s needs before hers. Even though she was in constant pain and in the hospital for most of the times she would still find the time to help family and friends in whatever she could. She would always be smiling and her laughter was so contagious. She could light up a room. She was a very loving sister, wife and a incredible mother. She leaves behind her husband of 10 years and her 8 year old son who was the world to her. She would always help her son with homework every night even if she was in absolute agonizing pain. She would never let you know her true struggles and pain she was dealing with. Sometimes the brightest smiles often hide the deepest pains. She was the bravest person I have ever known. A true inspiration to us all. Baby sister, I love you love you love you so much. There is an emptiness in my heart which will never be filled ever again in my life. We all miss you with all our hearts. There are no words to express the pain our heart feels. I want to thank you for everything you have done for me, my kids and our parents. I could never repay for all you have done. All I can do is try my best to even come close to your kindness, generosity, love, compassion thoughtfulness, sincerity, and courage. You will be missed baby sis. I know that you will be watching us from above. Our family would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support, thoughts and prayers. The funds will be used to cover the cost of her casket, funeral services, and burial plot. Some of the funds will also be used to support her family expenses.
