Elizabeth & Amber Watts, Betty and Eston Warren

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Destiny Watts and I am 22 years old. I am the daughter of Daniel Ray Watts Jr.  who passed away December 15th of 2020. I am also the sister of Elizabeth Grace Watts and the step-daughter of Amber Nicole Watts. Betty and Eston Warren are the parents of Amber and Destiny Warren, hence my grandparents.

A tragedy occurred Monday evening (February 22nd) in the residence that all four family members were staying in. They turned on the Kerosene heaters Sunday night, with no ventilation, and all suffered from Carbon Monoxide poisoning the next day. Eston Warren (56) was found in the home already deceased. Elizabeth (9), Amber (29), and Betty (50) were completely unconscious. After the police transported the three, Elizabeth passed away at the hospital. Every effort was made by medical professionals with no success.

Amber and Betty are currently on life support at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO.  Both individuals have severe brain damage; Amber worse off than Betty. Destiny Warren (22) (Amber’s Sister) and I have made an executive decision to take Amber off life support as she is showing no signs of improvement. We both agreed that Amber would not want to spend the rest of her life on a ventilator without her daughter and husband.

Betty Warren on the other hand, has shown signs of significant improvement. There is another MRI scheduled for February 27 to determine the extent of the brain damage. We will reevaluate her recovery and determine the status of her need for life support.

With losing my dad in December to a car accident, we have depleted what funding we have for funerals, medical expenses, travel expenses, or other costly fees. This tragedy has blindsided us and now have four more individuals to cover.

Amber and Elizabeth Watts are to be buried in Arlington, KY next to the late Daniel Ray Watts Jr.. Betty and Eston Warren have pre-established arrangements in Churton, TN. All services will be held at a local funeral home with a date TBD.

While help is not expected, it is greatly needed and appreciated for this unforeseen circumstance. Destiny Warren and I have become next of kin at only 22 years old, each, and have never been in a position like this one. We are still learning how to process and navigate all responsibilities. The outpouring of all the support and help we have received has gone a long way, but we still have a longer way to go. Thank you for your time and consideration.
