Elizabeth Collin's Road to Recovery After A Brain Bleed

Donation protected
My name is Sarah, and I’m a friend of Elizabeth Collins. I am reaching out with heavy hearts to share some difficult news and ask for your prayers and financial support for Elizabeth during this challenging time.

On Monday morning, Elizabeth woke up feeling unwell and, after seeking medical attention, was diagnosed with a brain bleed. Thankfully, the bleeding has decreased, but the cause remains unclear, and the doctors still don’t fully understand what happened.

Elizabeth has been well cared for by a church friend and the hospital staff until her mother and brother were able to reach her on January 30th. She was discharged from the hospital that same day, but her journey to recovery is just beginning. Right now, Elizabeth feels extremely tired, experiences head pain, and describes her brain function as “foggy.”

Unfortunately, the doctors were required to suspend her license for a minimum of 3 months; it will be complicated and costly for Elizabeth to get to her appointments and hopefully get back to school and work without her license.

Elizabeth will need ongoing care, rest, and support to regain her strength and continue healing. She has already begun seeing a therapist to manage her symptoms and help her body recover. Unfortunately, the doctors have required her to suspend her license for a minimum of three months. This will complicate and add costs to her ability to get to appointments and eventually return to school and work.

As many of us know, unexpected health emergencies can bring about emotional and financial strain. We're asking for your support to help Elizabeth.

She can really use your prayers for healing.

She can also use your financial support for future medical expenses, as well as any other costs related to her recovery. Elizabeth is so young, vibrant, outdoorsy, and adventurous. She loves spending time with friends and family, and has a special gift for woodworking. Your generosity will go directly toward helping her get back to being her wonderful self. It’s difficult to predict how long her recovery will take, but your support will directly assist her with the following:

• Medical expenses for further treatment, ongoing therapy, and rehabilitation to help her regain full health.
• Everyday living expenses, as Elizabeth will be unable to work or attend school until she is fully recovered.

• Travel expenses for her family, who are providing essential support during this time.

We are incredibly grateful for any contributions, no matter how big or small. If you're unable to donate, sharing this campaign would be a huge help. Your prayers, thoughts, and words of encouragement are deeply appreciated as Elizabeth continues her recovery.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and generosity during this difficult time. With your help, we know Elizabeth will have the strength and resources she needs to heal and move forward.

If you prefer to support Elizabeth directly, you can send them directly to her (please send a message if you need her contact information).

With gratitude,
Sarah Langemann (& Elizabeth & the entire Collins clan)

Feb 6, 2025 UPDATE
I have an update from Elizabeth.
She is so thankful for your prayers and your gifts to her. She told me she never thought of asking, never thought it would amount to much, so she is so thankful that you have helped to take a financial weight off her shoulders. She also knows many of you are praying for her, which she is also so thankful for.

She is still recovering at home with her faithful cat by her side (or rather by her head) helping her heal (and her mom…). The bump on her temple is almost gone, but she has a black eye in it’s place.

Elizabeth has concussion symptoms that’s giving her a lot of head and neck pain. She figured out she had a fall that Monday morning which is the likely cause of the concussion. Not sure if the fall made this happen or if the fall was after the brain bleed occurred. She is also still very tired.

Tomorrow, she is seeing a few new therapists at the clinic for treatments. She is looking forward to them helping her head pain and neck pain. She will also have some doctor appointments later this month and a neurologist in a couple months.

Please pray for:
-relief from her head and neck pain
-figure out the cause of the bleed
-her continued medical journey, the therapists she sees will bring some relief, and give her new insights into her condition

Thank you again!
