- Hello! I'm Elizabeth, and I have been monitoring the marine plankton of Norfolk, UK, for the last 3 years and since last summer, I have been surveying plankton every week from Cromer, a task that has never been done before. I'm discovering a great deal about the ecology and seasonality of plankton there, and have had the opportunity to share my data with scientists and the general public, increasing awareness of North Sea coastal plankton. Regular sampling is really important, but today, whilst collecting plankton, my old net ripped! This means I can no longer continue with my monitoring until I get a new net, which I can't afford! So I'm reaching out to all the people who enjoy my plankton content on social media, who appreciate the importance of plankton monitoring, and who can spare a few pounds to ensure my plankton sampling can continue without too much of a break in the data.
