Our dear friend Elizabeth Brahan Wright found out in 2022 that she’s in end stage Kidney failure and needs a transplant ASAP. This came as a complete surprise as there’s no real explanation for what caused this. She’s kept her situation quiet until now because she’s not one to ask for help, but as surgery approaches, she needs support from friends and loved ones!

Thankfully, she has health insurance that will cover the bulk of the medical bills, but there is a large out of pocket expense for the surgery that is not covered. Additional expenses include the cost of flights to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, hotels, car rentals, etc. It’s going to be a lot of out-of-pocket expenses for her and her husband, Chris. They will have to spend at least a month staying near Mayo Clinic.

For the last year and a half, she has been traveling to and from The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, and thankfully, she has been evaluated and deemed healthy enough to receive the transplant! Most of this year has been spent trying to find a match for a donor. A donor has been confirmed and surgery is now set for January 2024.

After the surgery, Elizabeth will have to take some time off of work for doctors’ appointments and to heal. She will have to travel back to Mayo Clinic for a 3-month and then a 6-month follow-up post-transplant as well. This will be a long road to recovery, and I just ask that you help out our sweet friend if you are able!

If you know Elizabeth, you know that she was born to work in the music business. Her passion for music shows in her love for the songwriters, musicians, and artists that she gets to work with and support. She is quiet at first meeting, but as you get to know her, you find that she fiercely loves and follows Jesus, and dearly loves her family and her friends.
