Elizabeth was born on October 9, 2000, in Ottawa, Ontario. At just 25 years old, she had so much life ahead of her and so much more of her story left to write.

Elizabeth was quiet and gentle, but those who knew her understood that her reserved nature held a deep warmth. Her smile could light up a room and reflected the kindness and beauty she carried within.

She was on a journey of discovering who she was and what she wanted her life to become. Elizabeth moved to Toronto to pursue her passion for game design work at Toronto Film School. Like so many young people, her plans were changed by the pandemic, and she eventually returned home to Ottawa to begin again.

While at home, Elizabeth found joy in baking and began accepting small orders from family, friends and others who discovered her talent. Anyone who had the opportunity to taste her baking knew how much care she put into everything she created. It was one of the ways she shared a piece of herself with others.

Elizabeth also rekindled friendships and made memories that will remain with those who loved and knew her. Her friendship with her best friend, Vanessa Franois, brought many moments of laughter, connection and adventure, from attending concerts to simply experiencing life together as best friends do.

Elizabeth was still discovering herself and finding her next steps in life. Sometimes, the things we carry inside are difficult to express, especially for someone who is naturally quiet. Her family and friends will always wish they could have carried some of that weight for her.

Elizabeth leaves behind her mother, Joyce; her father, David; and her two brothers, Joshua and John, who are now facing the unimaginable loss of their daughter and sister.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help Elizabeth’s family with funeral arrangements and the unexpected expenses that come with losing someone so suddenly.
