Elissa Burggraff Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Elissa Burggraff died unexpectedly in Arizona on March 26, 2017 at the age of 38. She was much loved, and is very missed by her many friends and family.
Elissa had a great passion for music. She was an incredibly talented musician and even received a music scholarship to college. She played a variety of instruments, including but not limited to clarinet, flute, oboe, bassoon, piano, and guitar.
Elissa met many of her lifelong friends in middle school band. A memorial fund has been established to benefit Dakota Hills Middle School's band department in Eagan, MN, Independent School District 196, tax exempt 501(c)3.
The band directors were asked where a donation was most needed. They said their bass clarinets for clarinet choir were 25 years old and in need of replacement. Since Elissa's first band instrument was the clarinet, this seemed like a perfect choice. New student bass clarinets cost around $1,850.
We would like to raise enough funds to purchase at least one new bass clarinet for the band department. A brass plaque will be attached, reading something along the lines of: "In memory of Elissa Burggraff, Class of 1997."
If additional funds are raised, more clarinets or other needed band instruments can be purchased and donated.

Elissa (middle) and friends Denise and Halie on the last day of 8th grade at DHMS.
