Help Support Elisha, Oliver & Freddie During This Life-Changing Time
Hi, my name is Lissie, and I am a very proud auntie to my nephew Olie, his partner Elisha, and their beautiful little boy, Freddie who is only 3 years old.
On Friday 29th May, their lives were turned upside down when Elisha suddenly suffered a Posterior Circulation Stroke at just 24 years old.
Elisha was rushed to Southampton General Hospital, where she remains in the Neurology Intensive Care Unit. She is currently on a ventilator to support her breathing, and within 24 hours of being admitted, she underwent emergency surgery to have a stent fitted in an artery to restore blood flow to her brain.
Nothing can prepare a family for something like this.
We are looking at a long recovery road, with extensive rehab and rehab and physiotherapy.
Elisha is a full-time paramedic who has dedicated her life to helping others during some of their darkest moments. Every day, she goes to work to save lives, care for strangers, and support people in crisis. She is also an incredible mum to Freddie, a devoted partner to Olie, and a much-loved daughter, sister, friend, and colleague.
As you can imagine, this devastating situation has brought not only emotional heartbreak but also significant financial worries. Olie is spending as much time as possible by Elisha’s side while trying to be there for Freddie, and the reality is that work, bills, childcare costs, travel expenses, and everyday living costs don’t stop when life suddenly changes overnight.
Like many young families, Elisha and Olie have worked hard to build a life together. During Elisha’s university years, they often relied on credit cards to help cover essentials such as childcare and groceries while working towards a better future for their family.
I have created this GoFundMe in the hope that we can ease some of the financial pressure they now face. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support Olie and Freddie during this incredibly difficult time and allow them to focus on what matters most right now: Elisha’s recovery.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page. Your kindness, support, and prayers mean more than words can say.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for helping my family through the toughest chapter of their lives.
With love,
Lissie
❤️ Every share, donation, and message of support gives this family one less thing to worry about while they focus on Elisha’s fight and recovery. ❤️
