Elise Switzer Funeral Expenses

Elise Switzer was an amazing friend,  sister, mother, grandmother, and life enthusiast who passed at the age of 64 years old.

Early last year, Elise was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and pursued chemotherapy treatment. Although a constant battle, Elise fought her way through treatment and removal surgery committed to triumph over her disease. Unfortunately,  additional complications developed near the end of treatment and thereafter as a result of the havoc that chemo can wreck on one's system.

Elise passed in her sleep, a way in which many of us can only hope for. She had both her good days as well as bad, pushing through the struggles of cancer and the devastation of having treatments on a daily basis. Nevertheless, her commitment to survive and her willingness to find happiness within those days always prevailed. It was an unexpected passing for her family, despite knowing her condition. Days prior, she was up and about, moving around on her own accord, not asking for help, staying true to her stubborn nature as a strong willed and admirable woman.

In her wake,  Elise leaves behind her 15 year old grand daughter Alexa whom she has had custody over for many years. Their connection runs deep, and Elise loved Alexa with every fiber of her being. After her diagnosis, Elise often noted her contentment for her life and continually expressed that her only purpose to survive was for Alexa's well-being.

In order to honor of Elise's most dedicated wishes that Alexa's future be bright and healthy, as well as to cover the expenses involved due to this unexpected event, our family is asking for your consideration.  As always, even more so today than ever before, we understand that times are tough, so we openly ask for your help without any expectations. We only intend to provide Elise the rest she deserves, all while respecting her wishes for Alexa to remain safe and well moving forward.

As her son, it is a grimacing experience to write these things about a mother who is now passed. It gives me great humility to accept the notion of your help in this time. Every little bit counts right now, and our family appreciates your love. With an open heart, we thank you.
