Elisabeth’s Unexpected Medical Crisis
Donation protected
Elisabeth is the sweetest 11 year old! She’s a patrol and a leader in her fifth grade, loved dearly by her teachers and peers. Last week she wasn’t feeling well and the school called home. Mom took her to the doctor and they immediately transported her to children’s. A week later, she is still there and just had brain surgery yesterday morning. Doctors and nurses are working tirelessly to figure out what is going on. She is in the neuroscience unit and is currently using a feeding tube to eat and cannot talk. She is communicating through hand signals, and a lot of tears. I am sure she is so scared. Her mom works two jobs but is afraid to leave her side. Work informed her today that they will not terminate her but will not be able to continue to pay her until she returns. The family has bills that need to be paid and Elisabeth will be there for a while. Let’s help mom by providing her with some financial assistance while she stays by her daughter’s side.
While visiting this evening, Elisabeth would frequently wake up and reach for her mothers hand. Please consider giving anything you can or simply help by sharing this with as many people as possible so mom can stay with her baby during this terrifying and unexpected medical crisis.
