Eli's Journey of Hope

Hello, my name is James. I am setting up this fundraiser for a child of a close friend of mine.

The Aristizábal Valderrama family consist of Mauricio and María (parents), and their children Gregorio and Elías. This family lives in Altona and moved to Canada from Colombia 4 years ago in search of a better life for themselves and their children. One of the main reasons for moving was to get better support for their son Eli. Elias is a vibrant 9-year-old boy who has been diagnosed with autism. His condition makes it difficult for him to communicate with others, which can become extremely frustrating for him. As Eli gets older his increased size and strength are causing him to run into barriers at home, school and with himself.

Over the past years, his parents have been trying to find a way to help him overcome these limitations. The options for him are limited, however, they have found a treatment that could improve Eli's quality of life. It is a treatment designed to

improve his brain function.

This treatment is not covered by any government program, so they have to pay a large amount of money to have it done. Treatment is not available in Manitoba and is also quite time-consuming. Eli will be out for several weeks to complete the process. Obviously, the parents will have to be there with him for the entire time of treatment, so they will have some expenses themselves.

I'm looking for support for the family to get through this whole process. Both parents work full-time and will have to take time off work to support it. Any donations would be greatly appreciated by this wonderful family

La familia Aristizábal Valderrama está conformada por Mauricio y María (Padres), y sus hijos Gregorio y Elías. Esta familia vive en Altona y se mudó a Canadá desde Colombia hace 4 años en busca de una vida mejor para ellos y sus hijos. Una de las principales razones por las que se mudaron fue obtener un mejor apoyo para su hijo Eli. Elías es un niño vibrante de 9 años que ha sido diagnosticado con autismo. Su condición le dificulta comunicarse con los demás, lo que puede llegar a ser extremadamente frustrante para él. A medida que Eli crece, sus dificultades en casa, en la escuela y con sigo mismo crecen.

En los últimos años, sus padres han estado tratando de encontrar una manera de ayudarlo a superar estas limitaciones. Las opciones para él son limitadas, sin embargo, han encontrado un tratamiento que podria mejorar la calidad de vida de Eli. Es un tratamiento diseñado para mejorar su funcionamiento cerebral.

Este tratamiento no está cubierto por ningún programa gubernamental, por lo que hay que pagar una gran cantidad de dinero para realizarlo. El tratamiento no se encuentra disponible en Manitoba y también es bastante largo. Eli permanecerá por fuera varias semanas para completar el proceso. Obviamente, los padres tendrán que estar allí con él durante todo el tiempo de tratamiento, por lo que ellos mismos tendrán algunos gastos.

Estoy buscando apoyo para que la familia supere todo este proceso. Ambos padres trabajan a tiempo completo y tendrán que ausentarse del trabajo para mantenerlo. Cualquier donación sería muy apreciada por parte de esta maravillosa familia.
