We initially rescued this amazing dog on the motorway after being struck by a car and bumped by us. We wrestled him from the most dangerous situation where if he didn't come home with us he would have been dead for fact.
After all the vet trips sleepless nights and months of trying to rehome him. Me and Clarissa decided we would keep him as we couldn't find anyone and it wasn't right not allowing him into our family properly, when we had been with us so long.
We trained our dogs to try accept him however Chase our moroccan rescue attacked him at every opertunity. We had Eli castrated and chase wore a muzzle for weeks whilst eli was out. It gradually became less and less after being persistent and putting the muzzle back on if anything happened. Nursing Eli's cuts and bruises felt constant but it did stop and everything was becoming easier except one factor.
Our amazing loud energetic little boy Maui. Who is fantastic with dogs and has spent his life surrounded by them. After a few incidents of falling over toys and bumping into each other etc it became apparent Eli can not relax with Maui awake and in the house or garden. A few days ago we had a really close call that was out of nowhere and not justified. Sadly we can't keep Eli because of this. It breaks my heart I really adore him. He is my little chubby right hand dude sits with me everywhere loves his walks and cuddles and wrestle time. He is a beautiful soul.
Now we have some fantastic news!
A home has been found for him! An elderly lady with blind dog experience is coming to collect him in approx a weeks time. We have set this page up to give eli everything he needs as the lady taking him lives on her pension and its really not much at all. So we want to try cover her fuel a new dog bed and some toys and most importantly his medical procedures. His eye removal is €200 not including micro chip etc. This amazing lady will be driving 6 hours total to get Eli. We know many of you have met him and know what a fantastic dog he really is. We have given him all we can and I'm so grateful to you all for the love and support I'm so excited for him and his future just hurting I won't be there to see it ❤️
