Eli’s Army Fundraiser

Donation protected
This wonderful brave ray of sunshine is called Eli, he turned 5 years old in December. Eli has a love of sports especially football and is always active when he isn’t playing football he’s playing basketball. He’s such a social butterfly, he has lots of friends and tries to include everyone. He is the kindest soul, no one is left out when Eli is there. He approaches life with masses of energy and a permanent smile on his face. Eli is very close to his 2 brothers Noel who is 6 and Ivan who is 3, they are an amazing team.

Eli was suddenly diagnosed with stage 4 Wilms tumour which has spread at the end of January 2025. Sadly this has meant Eli has had to start intense chemotherapy with an operation planned to remove his tumour and kidney. After the operation his medical team will decide what future treatment Eli will receive.

Eli’s Army have now begun fundraising for Eli and his family. Eli plays for a local youth football club Glenrothes Athletic 2019 team and his brother Noel plays for the 2018 team. Eli’s Army consists of Noel and Eli’s team mates and their parents and club officials.

We are hoping to raise as much money as possible for Eli and his amazing family. His wonderful parents Jonathan and Rebecca have Noel and Ivan to look after as well as hospital stays and travelling to appointments for Eli. We hope to make their lives easier so they do not need to worry about finances and lets them concentrate on Eli, Noel and Ivan at this difficult time. This will allow them to do something with Eli and the boys after his treatment has finished and really give them something to look forward to as a family.

The aim of Eli’s army is also to raise awareness of this type of cancer and to show Eli’s family support during his treatment. We have planned other fundraising events and the kids are doing a sponsored run. This will help with the unexpected costs such as travel but will also allow Jonathan and Rebecca to keep things as normal as possible for the boys. Eli’s Army would love to show the family the whole community are behind them. Eli’s mum Rebecca is the beneficiary of this fundraising. I met Rebecca and the Ashley family as our children play in the same football team. We have become a football family. Rebecca will be able to decide when and how to use the funds to suit the family and Eli’s future needs.

Eli’s Army would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts everyone’s generosity. It is more than appreciated
