Éline Castro, danseuse en formation

Bonjour,

Je m'appelle Éline Castro et j'ai 20 ans. Il y a trois ans (après l'obtention de mon baccalauréat) j'ai décidé de m'orienter vers ce qui me passionne le plus : la danse et la musique ! J'ai en effet suivi tout au long de ma scolarité des cours (de danse classique, jazz ... et de piano) au conservatoire et au Centre Académique de Danse de Châteauroux. Puis j'ai intégré le Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional d'Avignon pour un double cursus (en cycle spécialisé) en danse classique et en piano pendant deux ans. Enfin, l'année dernière, après avoir auditionné, j'ai été admise au Training Program d'Alonzo King LINES Ballet à San Francisco.

J'ai alors réalisé ma première année de formation, riche en expériences artistiques et en rencontres ! Cette école correspond exactement à ce que je cherche pour me former en danse ; nous y avons des cours de danse classique, contemporaine mais aussi des cours de répertoire de la compagnie d'Alonzo King LINES Ballet (néo-classique), des cours complémentaires (technique Horton, Gyrotonic...) et différents workshops avec l'intervention de nombreux professeurs et talentueux danseurs dont le chorégraphe Alonzo King ! Cette première année m'a apportée énormément en tant qu'artiste, elle m'a fait découvrir de nouveaux styles, m'a permis de beaucoup progresser et de continuer à m'épanouir dans ce que j'aime.

J'aimerais alors poursuivre cette formation qui est d'une durée de deux ans afin de terminer le travail commencé lors de cette première année. Je souhaiterais élargir davantage mes connaissances, développer ma technique et ma créativité pour pouvoir par la suite intégrer une compagnie et vivre de ma passion.

Cependant, le coût de la vie à San Francisco, le loyer, l'école, ainsi que le prix du visa et des billets d'avion, représente une somme trop importante dont je ne peux m'acquitter seule.

Le coût du visa est de 1400 dollars, qui est proche de celui de mes billets d'avion (aller-retour). Après de nombreuses recherches je n'ai malheureusement pas trouvé de loyer en dessous des 1200 dollars par mois (environ à 1200 euros), ce qui constitue la plus grosse difficulté financière pour moi.

Je n'ai pas la possibilité de trouver un travail à l'année à cause des contraintes imposées par le visa et je n'ai alors aucune source de revenus. Malgré tous mes efforts, la poursuite de ma formation est compromise.

Voilà pourquoi je vous demande un peu d'aide. Je suis consciente de la chance que j'ai eu de réaliser cette 1ère année et je serais grandement reconnaissante si je pouvais poursuivre ce chemin. Je vous remercie par avance du geste (aussi petit soit-il) que vous pourriez faire pour m'aider à réaliser mes rêves ...!

My name is Éline Castro and I am 20 years old. Three years ago (after obtaining my baccalaureate) I decided to turn to what I am most passionate about: dance and music! I have indeed studied during my schooling courses (classical dance, jazz ... and piano) at the conservatory of Châteauroux. I then completed my first year of training, rich in artistic experiences and encounters! This school corresponds exactly to what I'm looking for to train in dance; we have classical and contemporary dance classes, along with repertory classes from the Alonzo King LINES Ballet company (neo-classical), complementary classes (Horton technique, Gyrotonic...) and different workshops with the intervention of many teachers and talented dancers, including the choreographer and Artistic Director Alonzo King! This first year brought me a lot as an artist, it made me discover new styles, allowed me to progress a lot and to continue to thrive in what I like.

I would like to continue this training program which lasts two years in order to finish the work started during this first year. I would like to expand my knowledge, develop my technique and my creativity in order to be able to join a company and live from my passion.

However, the cost of living in San Francisco, the rent, the school, as well as the price of the visa and the plane tickets, represents a sum too large for me to pay alone.

The cost of the visa is $ 1400 USD, which is close to the cost of my plane tickets (round trip). After a lot of research I unfortunately did not find an apartment for rent under 1200 dollars per month (about 1200 euros), which is the biggest financial difficulty for me.

I have no possibility to find a year-round job because of the constraints imposed by the visa, so I have no source of income. In spite of all my efforts, the continuation of my training is compromised.

This is why I am asking for a little help. I am aware of how lucky I am to have done this first year and I would be very grateful if I could continue this path. I thank you in advance for any gesture (no matter how small) that you could make to help me realize my dreams...!
