Help Elina Get a Heart Transplant

For the past three years, my friends have been caring for a brave little girl from the Middle East named Elina. She was born with one of the most complex heart conditions imaginable, and since the day she was born, she has been fighting simply to stay alive. Despite multiple surgeries and endless hospital stays, she continues to show incredible strength and resilience.

With your prayers and support, Elina was finally able to reach Boston, Massachusetts, to receive the specialized care she desperately needed. She has now spent many months in the hospital there. Sadly, during that time, her condition has worsened.

Her surgical team in Boston was not able to fully repair her heart, and her doctors have now confirmed that a heart transplant is her only chance to survive. Right now, Elina depends on powerful medications just to help her heart keep going, while doctors carefully balance her treatment to prevent damage to her kidneys and other organs.

None of this would have been possible without your support. Since arriving in the U.S., her caregivers have worked tirelessly to secure private health insurance and begin the complicated process required for her to stay eligible for a transplant. But this journey is long, and the costs of remaining there keeps growing. They continue to face expensive insurance premiums and deductibles, housing, daily living expenses, medical bills, and legal fees needed to keep Elina’s status secure so she can remain on the transplant list.
