Hello everyone, meet Nova! Nova is a 3 year old German Biewer Terrier who used to be the most energetic and playful pup around. That is, until her recent diagnosis.

Nova needs surgery on both her back legs. Due to a birth defect and an injury that we recently just found out had occurred. She cannot use both her back legs and is limited to being carried to the pee pad to use the washroom and, unfortunately, has to spend time in the kennel while we are work. She has lost all her freedom and needs to be put in puppy prison while we are out. We do have insurance for her, but they are rejecting covering the surgeries as it was noted as a preexisting condition.

Nova was waiting 2 months for surgery and recently had her first of two surgeries. The vet is 3 hours away from where we live. All the funds raised will go directly to her surgeries, X-rays, tests, hospital stay and travel expenses. Nova’s right hind leg has a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament, and the right kneecap was unstable as well. The left leg has some issues since birth and has a severe luxating patella along with other issues which will be looked at.

Since Nova has joined our family she has added so much energy, joy and love to not only us but to everyone she meets. She makes friends instantly and just wants to enjoy life! We just want to get her legs back to get her back to her old spunky self.
