Hello Everyone

On November 23rd 2015 my husband Elijah was diagnosed with Lymes Disease and SEBO.  The process of getting this diagnoses was not easy. He has had symptoms for many years, some dating back to high school. But until last year they weren’t that bad.

Back ground:
On Janurary 2015 we began to notice that things weren't right. It was the night of the BIG Ducks vs Stanford game. He was eating and watching the game when his heart started to hurt and him blood pressure was 152/114 and his heart rate was 115. This was the start of many Doctor's visits, Stomach Specialist, Colonscopy, Nurse Practitoners, Endocrinologist,Naturopathic Doctors, and many Nutritionists. He spent Most of April and May on our couch and he couldn't drive for over two months. The Doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong.

One of Elijah"s symptoms is chronic fatigue. He has to have a very regular sleep schedule and must have a rest time every afternoon. Even with that he has days that he can’t get out of bed. Brain Fog is another symptom. He struggles to stay on topic, and might not remember what he is talking about. He also deals with pain in his joints, headaches, heart problems, liver and kidney pain, loss of blood flow to his feet and hands to name a few. Due to the severity of his symptoms, Elijah has been unable to work since last March.

This was in Walla Walla, Wa for his Colonoscopy.

Last year he gave over 85 vials of blood in attempt to find a diagnosis. We finally found a doctor in Hood River and she ran more blood tests!!!! Through the last set of tests, a positive diagnosis of Lyme Disease was made. This was a very bitter sweet day. We had done a  bit of research on Lyme and we knew it can be  tough to fight and many never get a cure. At the same time we were glad that it wasn’t cancer because that was a word we heard a few times in the passed year.

When Elijah got sick last year it effected mine and the kids lives in ways we never could of have thought. I have had to start working full time to try and cover the bills, doctors  appointments and medication, plus trying to do 70% of the day to day. Elijah is unable to help with many of these things. One day while Elijah was driving with our 6 year old, Josiah asked him "Daddy do you have a good life?" Elijah said "Yes, of corse. I have you, Camille, and Mommy." Josiah looked at the floor and said " I don't think you have a good life anymore, Daddy! You can't do anything that you used to do. You can't work, help at church or wrestle with me."  Also almost every morning when the kids see  Elijah, the first thing they ask is "Daddy are you better yet?" This is hard to see because when they ask there is a sparkle of HOPE that seems to dim as soon as they realize that Daddy is still sick. Lyme's Disease has changed all of our lives.

Our Next Step:
We are planning on going to a Clinic in Germany where they have  successfully treated Lyme. There is a link below for the clinic, if you'd like to read more. We have done some research on this place and they have a very high success rate. In the USA they don’t do this kinda of treatment. The government doesn't fund Lyme Disease here in America, nor do they wish to accept that Cronic Lyme exists here. Lyme is sporadic in the way it hits you,  it attacks your whole body, your neurological functions, immune system and adrenals. Lyme Disease mimics other co-infections such as the Epstein Barr-virus (Glandular virus), H.Pylori, MS to name a few. He also has some different co-infections but they should be healed as he is able to get over the Lyme. Right now he is on a strict diet. He is following the detox diet that Germany has him on. This is a very hard and expensive diet. He has to do this detox diet for 3 month prior to going.

Our Needs
At this time we are asking for help to go to Germany for Elijah to get his health and his life back.  Inorder to make this happen we need to raise $30,000. Because of the help of family and our own savings we only need $15,000. The money will go towards two airplane tickets, treatment for Elijah ($15,000 euro) and the spousal treatment for me  ($4,000 euro) Lyme can lie dormant and be passed back and forth between spouses. So, it is essential that I am treated. in addition to those costs, it will be $68 a day for me to stay at the clinic. We also have post treatment antibiotics after we get back, as well as lodging and other traveling expenses.

The treatment they offer is; WBHT (Whole Body Hyperthermia) is the key in combination with ozone therapy, detoxification and an immune biological support program. Treatment includes IV vitamins and antibiotics, magnetic therapy, singulet oxygen, detox foot baths, colonic irrigation, enema’s, herbal supplements and even reiki, meditation and yoga.

The treatment runs for 14 days and costs 15,000 euro. This includes:
