Our family is asking for help and prayers as my little brother’s newborn son Elijah fights through unimaginable health challenges. Born with a congenital heart defect, Elijah is also deaf, has underdeveloped kidneys, a chromosome translocation, and a cleft palate. He suffers from seizure activity and sudden “blue spells” where his oxygen levels drop dangerously low. He’s currently dependent on a feeding tube and oxygen.

His parents are doing everything they can to stay by his side, but the emotional and financial strain is overwhelming. He is now 2 months old and has been unable to come home yet. Initially staying at Cleveland Clinic, and now being at Ruby Memorial Hospital, they have been traveling frequently to stay with Elijah as much as possible. This fundraiser will help cover travel, lodging, missed work, and the ongoing medical needs that come with caring for a medically fragile child.
